The anniversaries of both Hurricane Ida and Hurricane Katrina can make today (Aug. 29) a tricky day for some of us. Both events had an enormous impact on the Northshore that many are still processing, and the road to recovery isn’t always smooth.

That being said, reaching out for help is now easy, discreet and completely confidential.

The Northshore Community Foundation, working with the St. Tammany Parish chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is offering free therapy to Northshore residents, who can connect with a licensed online therapist from anywhere, at any time, at no cost.

If you are 18 or over, there are three easy ways to register:

  • Online: wellconnectedns.com (use the chatbot).
  • Text/Call: (985) 200-9752
  • Email: wellconnected@namisttammany.org
