Billing and Financial Services
We know that navigating the world of healthcare billing can be complicated. But just as we’re dedicated to ensuring you get compassionate, world-class healthcare, we’re also committed to providing you with assistance to help shepherd you through the billing process.
Your bill represents the charges for services you received during a hospital stay or a visit to one of our facilities. The daily rate includes bed occupancy, meals and nursing care. You could see charges for laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, medications, use of the operating room, or supplies ordered by the physician. Professional fees related to Physician services and interpretations are billed separately.
St. Tammany Health System will file your insurance claims, along with any secondary insurance that has been reported to us. After the insurance company has processed and paid the claim, any remaining balance will be billed to the patient.
