My passion is taking care of patients and focusing on obesity and preventative medicine. Dr. Katie Taranto originally is from Lafayette, La., but has been living and practicing medicine in Covington since 2012. She received her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University in 2005 and earned her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2009. She completed her residency at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge in 2012. Dr. Taranto is board certified in internal medicine, and her passion is taking care of patients and focusing on obesity and preventative medicine. She enjoys cooking, watching LSU football and baseball, and spending time with her husband, Todd, and their son, Jackson.
