Health Check 365
We’ve all seen the statistics: Louisiana consistently ranks at or near the bottom of all 50 states in most significant health measures. But it doesn’t have to be that way, which is why St. Tammany Health System launched its HealthCheck 365 community outreach program in 2020.
Envisioned as a joint effort between the health system and a collection of community partners, a community health initiative called “Healthier Northshore” was formed to move our community toward a healthier future by teaming with local civic and business leaders, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations to bring educational initiatives and health screening events to people in their own communities. Through this collaborative effort, we’re excited to make strides to improve the health of our community.
So watch and listen for upcoming HealthCheck 365 events on TV and radio, through our social media channels and in our online newsroom. Better yet, take an active role in one or more of them.
Because while our enormously talented doctors, nurses and support staff have proven over and over again that we’re really, really good at taking care of sick people, together we can move the needle on those pesky rankings and prevent many of them from getting sick in the first place.
