STQN Announces New Medical Director’s Award Recipient
COVINGTON –– St. Tammany Quality Network (STQN) presented its third quarter Medical Director’s Award to Chirag Patel MD for his outstanding patient care and excellence in medical documentation. Dr. Patel is consistently recognized by his patients for his compassionate care and unique ability to include the patient and their families in medical decision making.
“Patients regularly compliment Dr. Patel for his personal approach to their care,” said Michael K. Hill MD, vice president of quality and utilization management. “He is admired by his peers as well as the nursing staff at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for his individualized, team approach to patient care.”
Dr. Patel joined the STPH Department of Hospital Medicine in 2013 for the challenge and opportunity to care for hospitalized patients. Dr. Patel earned a medical degree from Ross University in Miramar, FL and completed a residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
