COVINGTON, La. -- St. Tammany Health System has been recognized for overall excellence and patient safety in areas including overall hospital care, overall medical care, cardiac care and interventional carotid care by CareChex.
The recognitions put the health system in the top 10% hospitals in the nation in each of those areas, reinforcing its position as among the region’s premiere destinations for heart and general hospital care.
Following are the areas in which CareChex recognized STHS for 2021:
- Patient Safety Award – Overall Hospital Care (Top 10% Hospital in the Nation)
- Patient Safety Award – Overall Medical Care (Top 10% Hospital in the Nation)
- Patient Safety Award – Cardiac Care (Top 10% Hospital in the Nation)
