Note: This story has been edited to reflect that the Cordes Pavilion will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 4

Following restoration of electricity, St. Tammany Health System’s Paul D. Cordes Outpatient Pavilion in Covington has reopened in the wake of Hurricane Ida.

Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 3). It will then close for the Labor Day weekend before reopening on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Among the services currently being offered are radiology, wound care and pulmonary rehab.

The Cordes Outpatient Pavilion is located at 16300 Highway 1085 (Bootlegger Road) in Covington.

It joins a number of STHS facilities and services that have come back online following the storm. They include:

  • Emergency services at the main hospital campus in Covington, including our Pediatric Emergency Department, as well as at our standalone Emergency Department in Mandeville, both of which remained in service throughout the storm and its aftermath.
  • Virtual visits with physicians for primary care, pediatrics, orthopedics, cardiovascular and pulmonology services. Patients can schedule a virtual visit by calling (985) 898-4001 or by using the free MyChart app. Visit StTammany.health/VideoVisit for more information, including technical requirements.
  • The new St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center, which is located near the intersection of Interstate 12 and Highway 21.
  • The Be Well Bus, which is operating as a mobile COVID vaccination clinic in the parking lot of our ExpressCare clinic on Highway 21 just south of our Covington hospital.

Monitor the news feed at StTammany.health for additional announcements regarding the reopening of additional STHS facilities as electricity and data services are restored.
