The COVID-19 coronavirus has changed a lot of things, but it hasn’t changed the generosity of Ruby’s Kids.

The local nonprofit, which works to maintain the magic of Christmas and Easter for hospital patients, visited the St. Tammany Cancer Center on Tuesday (April 7) to deliver some 40 Easter baskets and T-shirts destined for the children of patients being treated there.

Representatives of the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation, the St. Tammany Cancer Center, the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Ochsner Health System were all on hand to accept the donations, which – due to social distancing concerns – were to be distributed at a later date.
