Since the start of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, residents of St. Tammany Parish have been both vocal and enthusiastic about their support for the parish’s healthcare heroes.
At St. Tammany Health System, that support is coming through loud and clear, whether it’s the donation of homemade masks and headcap scarves from local sewing groups, the recent show of solidarity from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, gifts to the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation’s employee appreciation fund or the signs of gratitude showing up throughout the community.
Some of our frontline caretakers have been so moved by it all that they recently went through the trouble of laminating dozens of photos of community support and using them to line the hallways outside the Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit at our main Covington campus.
It’s so inspiring and so sweet, we’ve put together a short video so everyone can take a virtual stroll down what we’re calling our Inspiration Hall.
We hope you enjoy it, and remember: We’ve got this.
And it means everything to know you’ve got us, too.
