Got questions about coronavirus? State health officials have answers
The Louisiana Department of Health announced Thursday (March 12) that the state’s 211 hotline, available around the clock, is now staffed with personnel trained to answer questions about COVID-19 and the current outbreak.
“The Louisiana 211 statewide network is established as the public’s first and best source to connect callers with critical information about health and human services,” said Dr. Alex Billioux, the assistant secretary for the LDH’s Office of Public Health. “This expertise ensures that citizens can talk to a person who is trained to answer their questions 24 hours a day.”
The 211 line provides multilingual services as well as information for people who are hearing impaired.
