Gurney Games Returns
Gurney Games Fundraising Event Returns After Five Years
COVINGTON – Gurney Games, a highly anticipated fundraising event for St. Tammany Hospital Foundation, returns on Sunday, March 26, 2 p.m., at the Covington Trailhead, 419 N. New Hampshire St.
“The community has spoken, and we are ready for the return of this classic event that was always a favorite of our employees, corporate partners and the public,” said Nicole Suhre, executive director of the foundation.
Gurney Games, sponsored by FLWB Architects, is a fundraising event benefitting St. Tammany Hospital Foundation where teams of costumed racers navigate hospital gurneys through a fun and challenging obstacle course. Gurney teams compete for fastest time, most creative gurney and fan favorite awards. The day will kick-off with the Official 2017 Gurney Parade.
Gurney Games will take place on Sunday, March 26, 2017, 2 p.m., at the Covington Trailhead. East Lockwood Street will be closed off between North Theard Street and North New Hampshire Street for the parade and races. The games will be open to the public and will include food, beverages, music and more.
There are many different opportunities to be involved in the return of Gurney Games: sponsor a St. Tammany Parish Hospital department team or form your own team to parade and race, sponsor our “Eats & Treats” or a raceway sign. Gurney Games is a great opportunity to gain exposure for your business while also demonstrating your continued commitment to our community and St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
