Heads up, hairstylists!
St. Tammany Health is inviting local hairstylists, barbers and other cosmetology professionals to “Hairstylist Heroes,” a free virtual lunch-and-learn session July 29 designed to help them spot possible skin cancer on the scalps of their clients.
Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Shahraam Kamalpour will lead the session, which will also cover ways hair professionals can refer clients for further evaluation with a dermatologist.
Registered participants will receive a $15 UberEats voucher to cover their lunch while they learn.
The event is scheduled begin at noon and will last 45 minutes.
