FOUNDATION RECEIVES $1.1M BEQUEST
FROM GILBERT J. HATTIER III
COVINGTON – The St. Tammany Hospital Foundation has received a nearly $1.1 million bequest in the will of Gilbert J. Hattier III, who passed away Oct. 31, 2014.
“The Foundation is honored to have been selected by Mr. Hattier as the residuary beneficiary of his estate after particular legacies were made,” said Charley Strickland, executive director of the foundation. “This most generous bequest is the largest gift given to the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation since its inception in 2003.”
This legacy is made in the name of The Hattier and Heintz Families and will be physically memorialized on the campus of St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
“A gift of such magnitude will have lasting effect on our region,” said STPH President and CEO Patti Ellish FACHE. “Our mission is to ensure residents of our service district have the care they need and the quality they deserve close to home, and this million dollar bequest will have long-term impact on our ability to meet that promise.”
