STHS revises 2021 holiday hours in face of omicron threat

With the omicron variant causing an increase in COVID-19 cases, St. Tammany Health System has revised its previously announced operating hours for its primary care and specialty clinics to accommodate the needs of local residents.

Most notably, the health system’s Paul D. Cordes Outpatient Pavilion will be open from 7 a.m. to noon on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) for lab services, including COVID testing, and radiology services.

All of the health system’s emergency services, including at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington and its standalone Emergency Department in Mandeville, will remain open around the clock throughout the holidays.

Full holiday hours are as follows:

Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)

  • St. Tammany Physicians Network primary care clinics in Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville and Folsom, as well as our St. Tammany Pediatrics clinic, will be closed.
  • The Express Care walk-in clinic on Highway 21 in Covington will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • All STHS outpatient clinics will be closed.

Christmas (Dec. 25)

  • St. Tammany Physicians Network primary care clinics in Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville and Folsom, as well as our St. Tammany Pediatrics clinic and Express Care walk-in clinic, will be closed.
  • All STHS outpatient clinics will be closed.

New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31)

  • The Paul D. Cordes Outpatient Pavilion will be open from 7 a.m. to noon on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) for lab services, including COVID testing, and radiology services
  • St. Tammany Physicians Network primary care clinics in Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville and Folsom, as well as our St. Tammany Pediatrics clinic, will be closed.
  • The Express Care walk-in clinic on Highway 21 in Covington will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • All other STHS outpatient clinics will be closed.

New Year’s Day (Jan. 1)

  • St. Tammany Physicians Network primary care clinics in Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville and Folsom, as well as our St. Tammany Pediatrics clinic, will be closed.
  • The Express Care walk-in clinic on Highway 21 in Covington will be open from 4 to 9:30 p.m.
  • All STHS outpatient clinics will be closed.
