The Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care has named St. Tammany Health System 2021 Hospital of the Year for Respiratory Care among hospitals with more than 200 beds.
STHS has won the award multiple times previously, most recently in 2020.
The honor, announced at LSRC’s annual conference in April, recognizes the health system’s respiratory team for demonstrating, enhancing and promoting quality care with successful outcomes for the hospital and the community.
The STHS respiratory care team provides acute care therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation and sleep disorders support. Respiratory services and other STPH clinical disciplines participate in shared governance, involving team decision-making, diverse creative input and advancing St. Tammany Health System’s healthcare mission.
