Pop quiz: What’s the No. 1 cancer killer in the United States?
If you said lung cancer, you’re right – and, no, you need not have been a smoker to get it.
The good news is that screenings can detect lung cancer early, providing patients with a far better shot at beating it.
Given that November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, St. Tammany Health System’s Meagan Broussard visited with The Lake 94.7-FM host Charles Dowdy to talk about the disease and the health system’s lung screening program, which is offering a screening special all month long.
