In the spotlight this month: a Safe@Home class to teach kids the do’s and don’ts of staying home alone, just in time for the start of the new school year.
The two-hour course, set for Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon, is designed for students in grades 4 through 6 and is facilitated by a Safe Sitter instructor. Among other things, students will learn how to handle common household emergencies, how to answer the door, how to address illness or injury, and more. Click here to learn more, including how to register.
You can register for our classes through the “Classes & Events” page at StTammany.health and learn more about the St. Tammany Health System Parenting Center at StTammany.health/ParentingCenter.
