COVINGTON – The St. Tammany Health System Women’s Pavilion has earned Press Ganey’s prestigious Human Experience Pinnacle of Excellence Award and Guardian of Excellence Award for 2024, putting it in the upper echelon of U.S. healthcare providers for patient experience.
The Guardian of Excellence Award, which places the health system among the top 5% of healthcare organizations nationwide, honors performance in key patient experience survey measures in 15 award subcategories.
The Pinnacle of Excellence Award, awarded to just four organizations in each category, recognizes sustained performance on patient experience measures over a three-year period.

The Guardian of Excellence Award and Pinnacle of Excellence Award are bestowed annually upon standout healthcare organizations that demonstrate their dedication to putting the human experience at the heart of healthcare and setting a high bar for patient experience.

Founded in August 2002 as The Breast Center of St. Tammany Hospital, the Women’s Pavilion in 2011 changed its name and moved to its current location on U.S. 190 just north of Interstate 12 in Covington. In that time, it has become the Northshore’s premier destination for comprehensive breast care.
In addition to the recent Press Ganey recognition, the NAPBC-accredited Women’s Pavilion is recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiologists. In December, STHS was also recognized as a 2025 recipient of Women’s Choice Awards for comprehensive breast care and mammogram imaging, placing it in the top 1% in the country in both areas.
