Local Students Gain Experience through STPH Volunteer Program

COVINGTON –Local students volunteered throughout St. Tammany Parish Hospital this summer to gain a better understanding of a hospital setting and receive valuable workplace experience.

“St. Tammany Parish Hospital looks forward to growing the next generation in healthcare each year during this program,” said Shirley Primes, volunteer coordinator. “Students are able to observe the day-to-day operations of the hospital and determine if they are interested in the medical field.”
