Still waiting to get your COVID shot? You’re in luck.
Appointments are now available for a mass vaccination event to be held this Wednesday (March 31) at the Castine Center in Mandeville by St. Tammany Health System’s strategic partners at Ochsner Health.
An estimated 2,200 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s one-dose vaccine will be administered at the event.
Although the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is approved only for patients 18 and older, no other age, health or occupational restrictions are being observed in Louisiana as of today (Monday, March 29).
An appointment to receive a vaccine is required, although those receiving one at the Wednesday event do not need to be an established Ochsner patient.
Appointments can be made via the free MyChart app or by calling (844) 888-2772 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Existing Ochsner patients can also log on to MyOchsner.org.
This is the second community vaccination effort to take place this week in western St. Tammany Parish. The other will be Tuesday at the Parish Fairgrounds. Click here for more information on that event.
