Pooped out by the mere idea of trying to potty train your toddler? You’re not alone.
Potty training can be a difficult time for any parent or caregiver. Because every child is different, what works for one child in your family might not work for all of them – and that leaves many parents unsure even where to begin.
Fortunately, St. Tammany Health System’s Parenting Center is here to help. Below, find some key signs that might indicate your child is ready to begin the process of ditching the diapers once and for all:
Parenting is one of the toughest jobs and the Parenting Center is here for you. If encouraging your children is something your family is struggling with, please reach out. We are here to help. At $20, we offer Parenting Coaching by appointment, so call the Parenting Center to set up an appointment with one of our educators for guidance and assistance on how to help you create moments of encouragement within your daily lives.

For children 3 and older; Tuesday and Wednesday, March 9 and 10; 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.; Fee: $30
Join Christina Connell of the Conservatory of Ballet Aviv for this class designed to give future dancers motor, cognitive and social skills that will be beneficial for life.
March 15, 22 and 29; 6 to 8 p.m.Cost: $80 per person
This three-week course is designed to help parents build on their child’s strengths, avoid power struggles and learn effective discipline skills. Cost includes course materials.
For children 4 and older; Saturday, March 20; 10 to 11:30 a.m.
This fun and FREE class helps siblings-to-be understand the changes that occur with the arrival of a new baby.
