Healing Arts Initiative Hosts Reception for Seventh Rotating Gallery Exhibit
COVINGTON – St. Tammany Hospital Foundation’s Healing Arts Initiative is hosting a reception to open the seventh artist exhibition in its rotating art gallery series on July 31, 4:30-6:30 p.m., in the St. Tammany Parish Hospital main lobby. The event will include a brief program and artist recognition at 5 p.m. and tours of the galleries.
Aptly names “A Colorful Voyage,” the exhibit features vibrantly beautiful pieces that will take patients, staff and visitors on a journey toward healing and wholeness. “We are so grateful to the artist community and how they have embraced this initiative,” said Nicole Suhre, foundation executive director. “Our current and past exhibiting artists have shared their time and incredible talent with us, partnering with us to elevate and redefine arts in healthcare.”
The exhibit will showcase 109 works of visual and three-dimensional art and photography from 23 local artists through Sept. 27 in hallways off the main lobby near the gift shop. Artists showcased include Jan Arrigo, John Bloemer, Brad Budge, Joseph Cannon, Georgie Dussouy, Wess Foreman, Stephen Fritch, Madalyn Goff, Katie Helluin, Ferris Hotard, Jamie Jackson, Elayne Kuehler, Michelle Lance, Jae Levy, Craig McMillin, Enrique Murillo, RaeRae Pertuit, Linda Shelton, Wojciech Sobolewski, Bill Stewart, Nancy Tigert, Julie Porche Wall and Sue Zaunbrecher.
