Proving once more that it takes a village to beat a pandemic, Oracle has come up with a high-tech solution to the low-tech problem of PPE shortages.
Recently, the tech firm donated a batch of 75 face shields – all made via 3-D printer technology – to help outfit STHS healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
And that’s just the start: They’ve got a potential capacity to print as many as 200 a week.
Above, St. Tammany Health System nurse Kyra Callahan RN, center, shows off one of the Oracle face shields with health system CEO Joan Coffman, left, and Chief Nursing Officer Kerry Milton.
