Blood drive set for Friday at St. Tammany Cancer Center

To help ease blood shortages amid the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Tammany Health System is teaming with The Blood Center for a blood drive this Friday (July 10).
The drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Tammany Cancer Center, which is at 1203 S. Tyler Street, directly across the street from the STHS hospital campus in Covington.
All donors who successfully give blood will receive a free T-shirt as well as a free COVID-19 antibody test. The presence of COVID-19 antibodies indicate a previous COVID infection.
Walk-in donors are welcome, but to facilitate social distancing, it is recommended that prospective donors schedule an appointment before arriving. Appointments can be scheduled
at The Blood Center website.
