VIDEO | Words of wisdom, and warning, from COVID-19 survivors
By STHS Communication Department
Even with COVID-19 cases surging in St. Tammany Parish and across the country, there are those who refuse to take the novel coronavirus seriously – but that doesn’t go for everybody.
Mike Bergeron, Ray Lubrano and Wesley Doyle were among St. Tammany Health System’s earliest COVID-19 patients. Today, all three are also COVID survivors. All three also freely admit that it was only through the efforts of STHS’s healthcare team – and by the grace of God – that they are.
We sat down with Bergeron, Lubrano and Doyle to discuss their ordeals and to gather a few words of wisdom – and warning – for the community.
See it in the video above or on St. Tammany Health System’s YouTube channel. You can also click the links above for their full stories.
And whatever you do, remember the words of Bergeron: “We can’t become complacent. … We can’t. If we do, we’re in for a lot of trouble. Take it seriously.”
