With winter weather driving blood inventories to dangerously low levels, St. Tammany Health System will host a blood drive from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 26) in the front parking lot at the main hospital campus at 1202 South Tyler St.
Those interested in donating should make an appointment though the Blood Center website to promote social distancing.
All successful donors will receive a St. Patrick's Day-themed T-shirt, as well as a pair of "lucky" green socks.
Additionally, all blood donations are tested for COVID-19 antibodies.
Find more information, including eligibility guidelines, at the Blood Center website.
