It’s almost time for St. Tammany Health System’s quarterly blood drive, and with the impact of a nationwide blood shortage continuing to be felt locally, it can’t come soon enough.
Set for next Friday, June 3, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., it’ll be held in the Mandeville/Covington conference room on the health system’s main hospital campus (1202 S. Tyler St., Covington).
The theme will be “Don’t Leave Us in a Pinch,” and all successful donors will get a T-shirt designed to pay homage to South Louisiana’s crawfish boil culture.
All donors are reminded to have a full meal before donating and to bring their picture ID.
As always, walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are preferred and can be made at the Blood Center website.
