Just like you, we’ve got big plans to gorge on turkey and fixin’s this Thanksgiving – before loosening our belts and shifting on Black Friday from the season of giving thanks to the season of just plain giving.
To help you get into the giving spirit, St. Tammany Health System will host a blood drive Dec. 1 in the Mandeville/Covington room of its Covington hospital campus (1202 S. Tyler St.) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone who successfully gives blood will receive a free “Cajun Christmas” T-shirt, while supplies last.
Walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are preferred and can be made at the Blood Center website. (Pro tip: Scan the QR code in the attached image with a smart phone to just right to the appointments web page.)
To save time, you can also complete your medical history online before arriving for your donation. Learn how at TheBloodCenter.org/FastLane.
