COVINGTON – St. Tammany Health System’s flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital has been named one of the region’s best acute-care hospitals in New Orleans CityBusiness’ seventh annual Reader Rankings.
Additionally, the health system’s Paul D. Cordes Outpatient Pavilion was named one of the best diagnostic imaging centers in the greater New Orleans metro area.
Both rankings were announced in CityBusiness’ 2023 Reader Rankings special section.
“These recognitions are direct evidence of the dedication of each and every one of our colleagues to the Culture of Caring fostered here at St. Tammany Health System,” STHS President and CEO Joan Coffman said. “They are the real reason we stand out to our patients, to our Northshore neighbors and to the readers of CityBusiness. I am truly grateful to those who voted for us and to our colleagues who make St. Tammany Health System such a special place.”
One of more than two dozen facilities operating under the St. Tammany Health System banner, St. Tammany Parish Hospital has been serving the Northshore community since December 1954. In the subsequent 70 years, it has become the area’s premiere acute-care hospital.
The Cordes Outpatient Pavilion, which is accredited by the American College of Radiology, has been providing leading-edge imaging services to the community – interpreted by its on-site, fellowship-trained radiologists – since 2003. It is open six days a week, often with same-day availability, and boasts an experienced, long-serving staff.
With more than 17,300 votes cast, CityBusiness’ Reader Rankings consisted of a nomination round followed by a voting period generating three winners in each category.
The Reader Rankings are the latest in a string of recognitions received by St. Tammany Health System from CityBusiness. In September, STHS was named among the Best Places to Work in New Orleans for 2022. Also, in October, Coffman was named to CityBusiness’ “Power 50” list.
