St. Tammany Health System’s Express Care walk-in clinic is moving – but it won’t be going far.

After the Covington building housing the clinic suffered roof and water damage during Hurricane Ida, Express Care will set up shop beginning this Saturday (Sept. 25) in an undamaged portion of the old St. Tammany Pediatrics space adjacent to the old Express Care office, at 71338 Highway 21, Suite 102.

The clinic will be accessible from the same parking lot as previously. Patients will simply enter through a different door.

Its hours of operation will be unchanged: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, and 2 to 10:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Additionally, St. Tammany Health System’s COVID-19 vaccine operation, which has been housed in its 40-foot Be Well Bus since the storm, will be reincorporated into the newly relocated Express Care operation beginning Monday (Sept. 27).

For its part, St. Tammany Pediatrics has been temporarily operating out of the STPN clinics in Mandeville and Madisonville since the storm. More long-term plans for relocation of the practice have yet to be announced.

Additionally, St. Tammany Pediatric Rehab services has been relocated back to the clinic at 1 N. Azalea Drive.
