Gurney Games Returns March 26 with Nonstop Action
COVINGTON – Gurney Games, presented by FLWB Architects, returns to Covington on March 26, at 2 p.m. at the Covington trailhead to benefit St. Tammany Hospital Foundation.
Spectators will want to arrive in time for the official gurney parade just after 2 p.m., as teams display elaborately decorated and themed gurneys, and then stay for the obstacle race immediately following the parade.
“We’re excited for the community to come out and enjoy a great time for a great cause with the return of Gurney Games,” said Nicole Suhre, executive director of STH Foundation. “It is such a colorful and fun event with music, games and fantastic entertainment, and we know how much our community has missed it.”
The event is open to the public with fun fundraising opportunities to support programs and initiatives of St. Tammany Parish Hospital, including a snowball stand and money machine. Gurney fans will enjoy music by Impulse Entertainment and vote for their favorite gurney. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Old School Eats and Covington Brewhouse.
