St. Tammany Health System colleagues help load
up a workshop’s worth of wrapped holiday toys destined for local families on
Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. Every year, the health system’s employees donate money
to ‘adopt’ local families. This year, they raised enough to brighten the
holidays of 40 families.

Santa’s little helpers were hard at work Monday morning (Dec. 13) at St. Tammany Health System, loading up sleigh-loads of gifts donated by health system colleagues to 40 local families through the Office of Children and Family Services in Covington.
An annual tradition at STHS, this year’s collection of gifts – loaded up in more than a half-dozen vehicles by an army of elves – will brighten the holidays of more than 92 children and 43 caregivers, according to the health system’s Sarah Gallaher, who helped coordinate the event.
“Look at those smiles,” Gallaher said Monday as the gifts were being loaded up. “This is pretty much everybody’s favorite holiday tradition here at St. Tammany Health System. It perfectly exemplifies the generosity of our colleagues. This is one of those things we have absolutely no trouble with when it comes to colleague participation. Everybody loves giving back to our community, especially now, during the holidays.”
