Hospital and Community Leaders Discuss Local Healthcare
COVINGTON – St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Ochsner Health System hosted a community leaders briefing on Thursday, Feb. 23 with parish and west St. Tammany municipal officials.
“Keeping our local officials up-to-date is important to the health of our hospitals and community,” said Patti Ellish, president and CEO at STPH. “We are happy to host our community leaders and share the success of our partnership.”
Patti Ellish, president and CEO of St. Tammany Parish Hospital; Warner Thomas, CEO of Ochsner Health System; and Brad Goodson, CEO of Ochsner North shore, presented to local, state and federal officials on accomplishments of the St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Ochsner Health System partnership, future plans both organizations have in store for patients in west St. Tammany, and significant national healthcare issues impacting local care.
The meeting included opportunities for questions from officials in attendance, sparking excellent discussion around behavioral and mental health resources and how the two leading healthcare providers intend to use their partnership to improve this important aspect of healthcare.
