STHS's Joan Coffman appointed to Louisiana Hospital Association board

COVINGTON, La. – St. Tammany Health System President and CEO Joan Coffman, FACHE, has been appointed to represent the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Northshore District on its Board of Trustees for 2022-2023.

“I’m just so grateful for this opportunity to serve as the voice for my Northshore friends, family and neighbors in shaping the future of healthcare and advancing public policy,” Coffman said. “This is a fascinating and exciting time in the healthcare sphere, and it’s truly a privilege to have a seat at the table as we steer LHA into what I know will be a bright future.”

The Louisiana Hospital Association is a nonprofit organization representing hospitals and healthcare provider groups across Louisiana.

The two-year appointment is Coffman’s first term on the LHA board.

She is joined by: 

Newly appointed Board Chair Greg C. Feirn, CPA, CEO of LCMC Health in New Orleans.

Immediate Past Chair Jason E. Cobb, FACHE, CEO of Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

Chair-Elect Mary Ellen Pratt, FACHE, CEO of St. James Parish Hospital in Lutcher.

Treasurer Rene J. Ragas, FACHE, president and CEO of Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Secretary Paul A. Salles, president and CEO of the Louisiana Hospital Association.

Acadiana Trustee Kenneth J. Cochran, RN, FACHE, president and CEO of Opelousas General Health System.

Bayou District Trustee Phyllis L. Peoples, president and CEO of Terrebonne General Health System in Houma.

Central District Trustee Christopher “Chris” Karam, FACHE, senior vice president of group operations of CHRISTUS Health in Alexandria.

New Orleans District Trustee Pete November, CPA, EVP and CFO of Ochsner Health.

Northeast District Trustee Jeremy M. Tinnerello, RN, MSN, CEN, president-steward of Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Northwest District Trustee David C. Jones, administrator and CEO of North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian.

Southeast District Trustee Edgardo J. Tenreiro, FACHE, president and CEO of Baton Rouge General.

Southwest District Trustee Dana D. Williams, CEO of Ochsner American Legon Hospital.

At-Large Trustees Stuart Archer, FACHE, CEO of Oceans Healthcare;  Jerry A. “Jaf” Fielder II, SPHR, president and CEO of Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport; Chris Fox, division president-facility based services for LHC Group in Lafayette; Kirk Soileau, FACHE, CEO of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center; Michele Kidd Sutton, FACHE, president and CEO of North Oaks Health System; and Kristin S.
