St. Tammany Health System has scheduled a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic for this Friday (April 30) at its St. Tammany Physicians Network office in Mandeville.
It will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will see distribution of the Moderna vaccine, which requires two doses administered approximately one month apart. Follow-up appointments will be made available to all recipients to ensure they receive their second dose.
The Moderna vaccine is currently approved for use only in patients 18 and older.
To ensure adequate vaccine will be on hand, appointments are required and should be made via the free MyChart app. Those experiencing difficulty with the app can make an appointment by calling (985) 898-4001, which is answered 24/7, although anticipated heavy call volumes may result in a longer-than-usual wait during peak hours.
The STPN Mandeville office is located at 201 St. Ann Drive, behind the Mandeville Post Office.
Friday’s pop-up vaccine clinic serves as complement to the vaccine clinic operating every weekday at the health system’s Express Care clinic on Highway 21.
