St. Tammany Health System infectious disease specialist Dr. Mike Hill, a key member of the team that has been guiding the health system through the COVID-19 pandemic, has been named one of CityBusiness’ Health Care Heroes for 2021.
Recognized for his professionalism and dedication during the pandemic, Dr. Hill is one of 50 people throughout the Greater New Orleans metro area to receive the honor for 2021.
This year’s honorees were announced Wednesday (June 30). Dr. Hill was recognized in the “professionals” category. Other categories include first responders, nurses, physicians and volunteers.
Dr. Hill and his fellow honorees will be celebrated at an event Oct. 25 at the New Orleans Museum of Art. A publication featuring them will be inserted into the Oct. 22 issue of CityBusiness.
Started in 2007, Health Care Heroes honors health care professionals in the New Orleans area. Honorees are selected based on industry achievement and community involvement.
