Mimi Goodyear Dossett Joins STPH Board

ST. TAMMANY PARISH HOSPITAL BOARD OF  COMMISSIONERS WELCOMES MIMI GOODYEAR DOSSETT

COVINGTON – St. Tammany Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 Board of Commissioners welcomes Mimi Goodyear Dossett as its newest member, appointed by St. Tammany Parish Council Chairman, Richard Tanner.

“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Dossett to our Board of Commissioners,” said Chairman John Evans. “We look forward to having her perspective on our governance board.”

Dossett is president of Money Hill Plantation and active in the Northshore community. She currently serves on the Northshore Business Council and the board of the Northshore Community Foundation. She is a past board member of the St. Tammany Parish Forestry Association and the North Shore Area Board of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.  She is also on and chairs several committees for her church, St. Tammany Cancer Fund and Money Hill Residential Community.

Dossett has always been actively involved in her local community. While residing in Cleveland Miss., she served on many boards and commissions, including City of Cleveland Planning Commission, the Heritage Commission (a review board for projects in Cleveland’s historic district), Junior Auxiliary Executive Board and in numerous capacities on the Crosstie Arts Council, including president and festival chair. On the state level, Dossett was on the Mississippi Humanities Council and was a delta committee member for the governor’s initiative “Momentum Mississippi.” In 2005 she was appointed by Governor Haley Barbour to the Delta Leadership Institute, a yearlong program designed to allow regional leaders to network for better communities and served as the Bolivar County Administrator from 2006 to 2008.
