To meet increased public demand for COVID-19 vaccines, St. Tammany Health System is adding another vaccination station to its Express Care operation, and it needs nurses to help staff it.
Nurses and retired nurses with a current license who are interested in signing up for vaccination shifts should contact David Paz David at 985-898-3762 for more information or to get on the schedule.
STHS’s Express Care clinic is at 7338 Highway 21, just a mile south of the health system’s Covington hospital. The vaccination stations there operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Currently, STHS is offering the vaccine – which consists of two shots administered three weeks apart – to members of the community who are 70 or older, as well as to colleagues and local community healthcare workers.
Those eligible can schedule their vaccine by using the MyChart app. Those experiencing trouble with the MyChart app can schedule via the call center by dialing 985-898-4001 and pressing 1.
