St. Tammany Hospital Foundation’s signature annual event, THE Gala, is about food, drinks, music and just having a good time. But that’s not all it’s about.
It’s also about cancer care. Specifically, it’s about generating money to support the cancer program at St. Tammany Health System to help it continue offering world-class cancer care close to home for Northshore residents.
Recently, STHS Cancer Services Manager Lindsay Gomez and the foundation’s Melanie Rudolph visited The Lake 94.7-FM studios to talk about this year’s party – which carries a Willy Wonka-inspired theme – and how it’ll help enhance care at the new St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center.
