A lot has changed since the COVID-19 pandemic upended everything back in early 2020, but not all of those changes have bee bad.
For example, the need for social distancing prompted a rise in virtual doctors visits, whereby patients can meet with their care providers easily and conveniently without even leaving their own home.
Now, St. Tammany Health System is taking that concept further, as it prepares to pilot a “virtual nurse” program for inpatients at its flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
Kelly Rabalais, the health system’s assistant vice president of strategy, recently visited The Lake 94.7 FM to talk all about virtual health. Hear what she had to say in the embedded audio player below.
