Physical Therapy Clinic Reopens at YMCA
STPH REOPENS PHYSICAL THERAPY
SATELLITE CLINIC AT WEST ST. TAMMANY YMCA
COVINGTON – St. Tammany Parish Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Services has reopened its satellite rehab clinic at the West St. Tammany YMCA, 71256 Francis Road in Covington, to better serve the needs of the community. The clinic was temporarily closed to renovate for a bigger space.
STPH Physical Therapist Kevin Mizell sees patients at the YMCA for orthopedic diagnoses from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“We have a great working relationship with the YMCA,” said Michelle Fell, manager of STPH Outpatient Rehab Services. “By reopening the satellite clinic, we have expanded the equipment our patients have access to for their rehabilitation and provide a wider gym setting. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Patients interested in making an appointment with Mizell will need a physician’s referral before calling the STPH YMCA clinic at (985) 871-5899. Mizell also will lead sessions on body mechanics and core strengthening, among other topics, for YMCA members.
