With blood inventories at critically low levels in the wake of Hurricane Ida, The Blood Center will dispatch two of its bloodmobiles to St. Tammany Health System’s main Covington campus for a public blood drive Tuesday (Sept. 14) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The bloodmobiles will be located in the hospital's main parking lot at 1202 S. Tyler St.

Walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are preferred and can be made via the Blood Center website

Those who successfully donate blood during this event will receive a free "First Responders for Life" T-shirt.
