HealthCare.gov Assistance Provided
Trained HealthCare.gov Enrollment Specialists to Provide Free Assistance
COVINGTON – Professionally trained HealthCare.gov specialists will be at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Mondays to provide assistance with health insurance enrollment.
“This will provide patients and members of the community the opportunity to receive help when enrolling in a healthcare plan,” said April Lafontaine, STPH director of patient access. “They will receive assistance from a trained health insurance broker that can walk them through the process.”
On Mondays, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. a certified Health Insurance broker will be on St. Tammany Parish Hospital’s campus to assist the uninsured with enrollment through Healthcare.gov. Some members of the community may be eligible for a premium subsidy, which can pay a portion of the monthly premium, and cost enhanced benefits. Open enrollment runs now through Jan. 31, 2016. In order to have health insurance coverage for Jan. 1, 2016, enrollment must be complete by Dec. 15, 2015.
