Angels of Light Celebrates Loved Ones

Angels of Light Celebrates Loved Ones

COVINGTON –
The 2016 Angels of Light ceremony, benefiting St. Tammany Hospital Hospice, will be held on Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the St. Tammany Parish Hospital main lobby, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington.

The Hospice Tree for Life is decorated with Tribute Angels that can be purchased for a minimum donation of $10 in honor or memory of a loved one. The Tree for Life will be lighted during a beautiful holiday ceremony and every light on the tree symbolizes the extraordinary care and comfort that is provided to all hospice patients. The event will feature live holiday music, including harpist Jessica Meltz, and refreshments.

The 2016 Hospice Tree for Life is dedicated in loving memory of Camille and Don Casey by the Casey family. The 2016 Tribute Angels are sponsored by the Dunavant family and dedicated to the memory of Dorothy Jeane Kuebodeaux. The 2016 Luminaria Walkway is dedicated to the loving memory of Edith Johnson Latham and Jane Colleen Pittman by Susan and Kenneth Latham and Family.

Angels purchased before Dec. 5 are guaranteed to be recognized at the event; however, angels purchased throughout the month of December will be placed on the tree. Angels may be picked up Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 11-25 at St. Tammany Hospital Hospice, 725 W. 11th Ave., Covington.

To purchase a Tribute Angel or for more information, contact Melanie Byrd in the foundation office at 985-898-4141 or mbyrd@stph.org, or visit sthfoundation.org/Angels.

Proceeds from Angels of Light supports St. Tammany Hospital Hospice in providing palliative and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families in the home.
