Day in and day out, the medical professionals at St. Tammany Health System strive not just to provide world-class health care but to generate world-class patient satisfaction in the process.

Those aren’t just words. We take it seriously. Please tell any member of the staff, a supervisor or the Patient Experience Department 985-898-4669 if there is anything we can do to make a patient's stay more comfortable. We want the opportunity to address it.

St. Tammany Quality Network

Because quality, efficient and effective care matters.

It’s important to know your healthcare providers are dedicated to quality on a consistent basis. To give Northshore patients that confidence and peace of mind, St. Tammany Health System launched its St. Tammany Quality Network (STQN), a patient-centered, physician-led group of some of the most respected doctors in the region, all committed to innovative leadership and the delivery of quality, efficient care.

Made up of some 300 member physicians, all aligned with St. Tammany Health System, STQN provides for coordination of patient care across conditions, providers, hospitals and care settings to achieve care that is safe, timely, effective and efficient.

STQN’s guiding mission, vision and values are as follows:

Mission

Align key physicians and St. Tammany Parish Hospital in a patient-centered, healthcare delivery system that is accountable for quality and cost of care.

Vision

STQN is a clinically integrated organization that provides the highest quality and most efficient care to patients we serve and position the hospital and the aligned physician partners for present and future success.

Values

Compassion and empathy for patients, effective communication across the continuum of care, expert clinical knowledge and judgment, a focus on teamwork and the belief that the practice of Medicine is a service calling and a privilege.

Proof positive.

The raft of awards and recognitions bestowed upon STHS speaks volumes about our commitment to you.

There's a feeling of family at St. Tammany Health System, and we believe the high marks we earn year in and year out stem directly from our commitment to our colleagues and our collective commitment to our patients.

One of only 798 hospitals nationwide to earn an ‘A’ for safety, St. Tammany Health System ranks among the safest hospitals in the United States, according to Hospital Safety Scores announced by The Leapfrog Group, a national watchdog group that assigns A, B, C, D and F letter grades to hospitals based on patient safety.

Additionally, Healthgrades’ Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes St. Tammany Health System for providing outstanding performance in delivering a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay.

St. Tammany Health System also received four stars in a Medicare patient experience survey, one of the state’s best scores. (The star ratings can be found on Hospital Compare, a searchable database the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services compiled that also contains hospital safety and performance data.)

Those are only a few of the recognitions we’ve received. See a larger sampling below, and a full listing at our Awards and Recognitions page.
