Comprehensive Rehabilitation at New Location

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Move to New Location

COVINGTON – St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Ochsner Health System colleagues and supporters cut a ceremonial ribbon Oct. 30 on the newest location for therapy and wellness in the partnership.

“We are truly excited to open this new facility,” said STPH Chief Operating Officer Sharon Toups. “It was designed with input from our therapy staff with the patients that we serve, young and old, in mind.”

The new, larger location is organized to facilitate pediatric therapy and adult therapy in ideal settings. The new location offers the full complement of rehabilitation services including traditional physical, occupational and speech therapy for both adults and children, plus specialty services including dry needling, cancer rehabilitation (before, during and after treatment), lymphedema therapy, certified hand therapy, pediatric feeding programs and through collaboration with Ochsner, pelvic floor therapy.

The partnership now offers therapy and wellness at four locations in west St. Tammany: the new 1 N. Azalea Drive location, STPH therapy inside the West. St. Tammany YMCA, and Covington and Mandeville locations of Ochsner Wellness & Therapy.

“We cut the ribbon on a perfect example of our partnership success with Ochsner Health System,” said STPH President/CEO Joan Coffman. “Together, we deliver innovative care from diagnostics and treatments to rehabilitation. Thanks to the depth and breadth of capabilities we share as partners, our patients easily access the coordinated technology, innovation and expertise they need close to home.”

Patients can easily schedule in any of the four locations, including the new 1 N. Azalea location by calling 985-892-4622, ext. 1.
